  • Vertical Width
  • Margins and Columns
  • Principles of Design (Alignment)

Assignment:

  1. Open the “C.R.A.P. Principles” InDesign document we created on Friday.
  2. Today we will focus on the principle of Alignment (lining objects up along a horizontal or vertical visual line). Create a new text box and write at least one complete sentence in your own words about what Alignment means, then use images (or text) to demonstrate what Alignment looks like.
  3. Leave room on your page for the remaining two principles! We’ll be doing the others on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week!
  4. Remember the Principles of Design (C.R.A.P.): Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity, and let them guide all your decisions as you build this page! Remember to create a strong focal point, and a strong eyeflow using the principles!
  5. Save this assignment as “Your Name – CRAP Principles”. We will continue to work with this document next week.
  6. We will hand in this assignment to the Assignment Post titled “Check for Understanding – Principles of C.R.A.P.” in your Google Classroom page on Thursday of next week.
