Spring 2016 – 40 – Creating Motion Tweens

Objective:

  • Produce a Flash animation using multiple Motion Tweens.

Assignment:

  1. Open a new ActionScript 3.0 document. Go to File -> Save As and save it as “Your Name – Motion Tweens″. Make sure the FPS is set to 30 and the Stage size is set to 800 x 600.
  2. Use the three types of Symbols we created yesterday to produce one of each type of Symbol, each on its own layer.
  3. Use the process demonstrated in class and in the video to create three Motion Tween animations, one for each layer.
  4. Move each shape in a different direction.
  5. When you are finished, you should have three layers, each with a different Motion Tween animation.
  6. Turn in the completed “Your Name – Flash Day 3.fla” file to folder “40 – Flash Day 6 – Motion Tweens” in your period’s subfolder by the end of today.

Spring 2016 – 39 – Symbols, the Library and the Timeline

Objectives:

  • Identify and produce the three types of Symbols: Movie Clip, Button and Graphic.
  • Identify the parts of the Timeline including the Playhead, Frames, Layers and Layer Controls.
  • Identify the relevant timeline icons, including a Blank Frame, a Keyframe, an Empty Keyframe, and Content Frames.

Student-Friendly Objectives:

  • I can create a Movie Clip, Button and a Graphic Symbol.
  • I can identify the parts of the Timeline including the Playhead, Frames, Layers and Layer Controls.
  • I can identify a Blank Frame, a Keyframe, an Empty Keyframe, and a Content Frame.

  4. Turn in the completed “Your Name – Flash Day 5.fla” file to folder “39 – Flash Day 5 – Symbols” in your period’s subfolder by the end of today.
